When Triumph unveiled a heated bra for winter in Tokyo earlier this year it only continued a tradition of doing familiar things in a very different way.
This goes back to the company’s product history.
When Triumph's founders launched their corsetry business from a barn in Heubach (Württemberg, Germany) in 1886, they had startup funds of 2000 gold marks and employed 6 staff. Today, the company they created boasts annual sales of over 1.6 billion US dollars, and employs over 30,000 staff all over the world. But one thing hasn't changed since the early days. Then as now, the philosophy of the company focuses on its people and its people like it to stand out from the crowd, which is why perhaps, the heated bra, which is not going to go on mass-production, was created.
The fluffy creation contains special pads filled with an eco-friendly gel that can be easily heated in a microwave or with a hot water bottle. The design also includes a furry boa designed to double as a winter scarf. Being padded, the new bra packs a little more bulk than most regular designs so it’s more suitable for the less well endowed woman.
The bra, which comes only in white, also features a pendant shaped like a chili pepper dangling on its front. Matching shorts complete the outfit.
The company says the heated bra is not being offered for general sale.
Instead the set is being viewed as a prototype product, the first step towards mass-producing eco-friendly clothing.
While their creative minds are on eco-friendly underwear, Triumph continue to also produce quality lingerie, bras, matching sets, briefs, things and suspender belts designed to raise the temperature.
Lace, modern fabrics and styles that offer support, enhance a woman’s figure and increase her self-confidence are part of their extensive range. With new styles coming out each seasons why not give them a try and see what they can do for you!
